LUX · BETA LOUNGE
Beta Lounge terms
Version 2026-10. Draft pending legal review.
The Beta Lounge is a small, invite-only test of the part of LUX that helps you meet people going to the same events. It runs until 31 December 2026 and is free.
Who can join
You must be 18 or older, invited by a member or by the founders, and verified by one of the founders on a short video call or in person.
How verification works
You show your ID next to your face. We check that it is you, your name and that you are 18 or older. We do not take a photo, screenshot or copy of your ID, and we do not keep your document number. We record only that you were verified, by whom, when, and your year of birth.
The rules
- Be who you are: one account, your own face, your real age.
- Respect a no. An ignored or declined request is a no; do not ask again elsewhere.
- Meet at the event, in public. Do not ask people to meet at a private address.
- Nothing illegal: no selling drugs, tickets or anything else; no harassment, threats, hate or sexual messages.
- Never share someone else’s information (contacts, photos, screenshots) without their permission.
- Report anything that feels wrong, in the app. On ADE nights we respond within 15 minutes.
- You are responsible for the people you invite. Invite only people you would vouch for.
If rules are broken
We may hide your profile at once while we look, and suspend or remove you. We tell you what we did and why, and you can ask us to review it. If we believe someone’s life or safety is in danger, we inform the police, as the law requires. If someone you invited is removed for a serious breach, your remaining invites stop working.
Your information
We use your email to sign you in, your profile to show you (only as you choose) to people going to the same events, and your activity in the app to improve it and to measure the test. Founders and moderators look at private information only to keep people safe, and every such look is logged. We never sell your data and never share it with sponsors or partners in a form that identifies you. You can download or delete everything at any time from your profile. Details are in the privacy policy.
It is a test
Things may break or change. Tell us in the app or in the Lounge feedback group. You can leave at any time by deleting your account.
